Police are appealing for information after a couple had tools worth £700 stolen while loading their van at the B&Q car park in Longwell Green, near Bristol.
The incident happened on Wednesday, January 20 at around 7.30pm.
While loading the tools into their van through its back door, the victims noticed that someone had parked alongside their van, opened its side door, and stolen their tools, placing them in the foot well of their own vehicle before driving off at speed.
The offender is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5ft 5 inches tall, who was wearing a dark knitted beanie hat, light blue jeans, a dark long-sleeved top, and was scruffy in appearance.
The only description the police have of the suspect’s car is that it was possibly silver in colour.
The female victim received minor injuries after attempting to stop the offender from driving off by holding on to his wing mirror.
As the car park was busy at the time of the incident, police believe people would have witnessed the car driving off at speed.
Anyone with any information should contact Staple Hill Police Station on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
