Commuters using the A4174 Ring Road around north-east Bristol could face three years of traffic misery after proposals for a £30m scheme of road-widening and ‘throughabouts’ were unveiled. The plans aim to tackle congestion and deter motorists from using roads through adjoining residential areas as ‘rat runs’.
