Police in South Gloucestershire investigating a sexual assault on a 12-year-old girl are asking for information about a white Ford Escort van.
The girl was assaulted by two men as they travelled around the South Gloucestershire area, and possibly further afield, early on Saturday 1st January 2011.
It is known that the van got stuck in a lane or field and that the two men were helped to free the vehicle by a third man, possibly a farmer. Police are keen to identify the location and the man who helped. It is not thought he would have seen the girl inside the van.
Anyone with information about the van, or the man who helped, is asked to contact Staple Hill CID on 0845 456 7000 or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Two men aged 27 and 25 have been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and false imprisonment and bailed.
