Police are appealing for help to trace the driver of a red sports car which was driving along Hill Lane, Shepperdine at the time of a crash involving a livestock carrier.
The crash happened at about 4:45pm on Saturday 30th October 2010. The blue Iveco livestock carrier left the road and rolled into a ditch.
The driver was uninjured, but two horses being carried received serious injuries. Despite the hard work of police, fire and rescue service, vets and local residents trying to free the animals, one of the horses died at the scene.
Police are keen to hear from anyone using the road at the time who may have information which could help establish the circumstances of the crash.
