Parts of the A4174 Ring Road will be closed from Monday 24 August to allow staff from South Gloucestershire Council to carry out litter picking, grass cutting, road sweeping and gully emptying.
Some of the work will be carried out on the central reservation which is why the partial lane closure is required as a safety precaution.
These essential works are expected to cause some delays to journey times and therefore the works have been planned to take place outside of peak hours, from 10am, and phased to minimise disruption.
Lane closures take place on the following sections of the road between 9.30am and 3.30pm:
24.8.09 Hicks Gate roundabout to Marsham Way
25.8.09 Marsham Way to Tower Lane to Deanery Road
26.8.09 Deanery Road to Carsons Road
27.8.09 Carsons Road to Dramway roundabout
28.8.09 Dramway to Emersons Green roundabout to Westerleigh Road
1.9.09 Westerleigh Road to Badminton Road
2.9.09 Badminton Road to Bromley Heath roundabout
3.9.09 Bromley Heath roundabout to Filton Road to Hambrook
4.9.09 Filton road to Hambrook to UWE campus
Road signs have also be put in place to alert motorists in the areas affected.
If you require further information about any of the closures call 01454 868000.
